Manufacture of Monopoles

Monopoles plant located in Choutuppal (near Hyderabad),  has a production capacity of 3,000 MT per annum for  manufacturing of Polygonal Lighting Masts, High Masts (Lighting), Monopoles used for Stadium Lighting, Telecommunication and Power Transmission purposes.

Considering that the quality of the products from any manufacturing facility depends on the  infrastructure, Aster‘s manufacturing facilities at this plant are organized in very well planned and well engineered layouts. Monopoles manufacturing facility is equipped with CNC controlled plasma cutting and press brake and an automatic SAW welding facility. The products manufactured at the plant meet stringent global standards.

Choutuppal Manufacturing Facility (Plant)

The Plant is located approx 45 km from Hyderabad along National Highway 9. It is spread over an area of 36 acres i.e., 1,45,687 sq. meters.

Fabrication Process

  • Sheets are cut on CNC Plasma cutting machine and then fed into a CNC  Press brake for bending / folding operation
  • Then it is sent to an Automatic SAW machine where the open ends are closed by a high quality and accurate welding process
  • Various material handling equipments like the EOT Cranes and Mobile cranes are utilized for handling material

Galvanization Process

Choutuppal Manufacturing Facility has two Galvanizing Plants with the state of the art galvanization technology and automatically controlled Zinc Bath. Out of these plants, one with Zinc holding capacity of 13 m x 2.5 m x 2.5 m is one of the largest in Asia. The controlled treatment of the galvanizing process includes degreasing, pickling and fluxing for an ideal reaction between Steel and Zinc resulting in a homogeneous galvanization. The pre-heating chamber further ensures uniform drying and pre-heating of steel to give an excellent surface finish and uniform coating of zinc.

The Galvanizing Plant has a galvanization capacity of 108,000 MT per annum and is equipped with sophisticated in-house laboratory for chemical testing facilities.
